Cassy's dad, Chris, died late last year after a long struggle with various health issues. We all miss him dearly and it has been difficult to deal with, especially for Valerie, losing her companion of over six decades. Cassy and Kristin have also had to deal with the loss of a parent. I won't attempt to eulogise Chris here in this blog post as his wishes were to be remembered quietly and often by his close family without need of either funeral or official memorial. We've been honouring those wishes after a scattering of his ashes at a local beach and make sure we laugh and have fun at regular intervals with Chris stories and memories. We all miss him!
